Papa John and the animals

As I told you before, we received yearly passes to visit the Gulf Breeze Zoo, so when my dad came home we took full advantage and took him with us to see the animals.  We spent the bulk of the day there, which meant no nap for Canon. Aside from a short meltdown over not wanting to feed the llamas all of the animal food, he did pretty good so color me relieved.

I try every single visit to get a good shot of this guy, but I have never really been able to get it. I have to combat the sun and the animals that apparently don't want their portrait taken. I can't be sure, but I think this feathered friend was laughing at me this time.

We took a turn in the budgey cage feeding the birds.

I am not sure if you can tell from this picture...but Canon loves his Papa John.

They have ostriches at this zoo and we saw several eggs in the sand. We couldn't decide, though, whether these were real or fake.

Of course, no zoo trip for me is complete without a thousand shots of the peacocks.

Two peas in a pod.

Sorry for all of the peacock photos, but I can't stop. I won't stop.

I like this shot because the green plume is in such detail. It's like he shifted his body just for me. Thanks dude.

I adjusted the temperature in this photo for a different feel. I kind of like it.

I hope you don't get tired of zoo photos because we go pretty often. I will try to keep the posts fairly spaced out though, so thanks for bearing with me!

  1. Such fun! Funny how kids have meltdowns over the smallest things. I visited a friend and her daughter started crying because she was asked to pretend-vacuum only the floor, not the chairs too. She loves pretend vacuuming but is afraid of the noise when it's turned on, so that's not much use ;)
Your peacock photos are pretty as always, but the photo of the budgie eating is so cute!

    1. Hahaha, yes! It really is amazing what kids go crazy over - especially when they are tired!

      Thank you!
