In Full Bloom

*Warning : Picture Heavy Post. I apologize ahead of time if you don't like looking at lots of photos of all things nature-y.*

Our trip to the country last weekend was timed perfectly, albeit unintentionally. The bradford pear trees were in full bloom and they couldn't have been more gorgeous. I just had to shoot them...over and over and over again. Of course, they got me in the mood for a full-on nature photo shoot and it was glorious.

Of course, Beau the cat had to be in on the action as well. He came and sat right next to me as if to say "I'm ready for my close-up." He's such a good model.

I did warn you at the beginning of this post that I couldn't stop shooting the bradford pear trees. Case in point coming up.

Walking around with my grandmother, I listened to her stories about certain trees that had been planted so many years ago. Two in particular she really loves are this "tulip tree" as she called it and the bush with the red/yellow leaves you will see below. I decided to pay homage to her love and fond memories by shooting them for her. I hope she likes the results!

We had a fantastic visit and the weather was absolutely perfect, but the most amazing part was seeing the petals on the trees falling as we were leaving town. It was a telling sign that we were there at exactly the right moment. Had we been a weekend later, I would have missed their full blooms.
